Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Inventor-Ease ("the Service"), provided by The Ease Co ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Inventor-Ease is an incoming inventory management platform for Shopify retailers. The Service connects to your Shopify store via OAuth and helps you manage purchase orders, receive shipments, and publish products.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be authorized to connect the Shopify store you register with.
• One Shopify store per Inventor-Ease account. Team members can be invited by the account owner.

4. Shopify Integration

Inventor-Ease accesses your Shopify store through Shopify's official OAuth system. We request only the permissions needed to operate the Service:

• Read and write products (to sync catalog and publish new products)
• Read and write inventory (to update stock levels)
• Read locations (to support multi-location stores)

You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin.

5. AI-Powered Features

Inventor-Ease uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to parse purchase orders and generate product descriptions. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-parsed data should always be reviewed before acting on it.
• AI-generated descriptions should be reviewed before publishing to your store.
• We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated content that you publish without review.

6. Billing

Inventor-Ease offers a free tier (5 POs/month) and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings.

• Billing begins when you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — email us.
• If payment fails, your account may be restricted to the free tier.

7. Your Data

You own your data. We store it to provide the Service and will delete it upon request or when you uninstall the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Service
• Upload malicious files or content
• Abuse the AI features (e.g., using them for purposes unrelated to inventory management)

9. Limitation of Liability

Inventor-Ease is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the Service reliable and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free AI output.

We are not liable for lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption caused by the Service, except where required by law. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You can cancel by uninstalling the Shopify app or contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify active users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
